Two TSW Projects Receive ULI Atlanta Awards
TSW Landscape Architecture Studio’s Greystone and White Provision were recently recognized for their excellence in development by the ULI Atlanta Chapter. The Urban Land Institute honors Excellence in Development each year, profiling the region’s most innovative and respected real estate developments.
The Greystone project involved the renovation of Piedmont Park’s bathhouse and pool. Originally built in 1911 with the pool added in 1973, the facility was renovated as one of the remaining renovation projects of the Piedmont Park Master Plan. TSW was responsible for the schematic landscape design and construction documents for the pool area and surrounding grounds. The project was Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) registered and is tracking Gold certification.
White Provision is a mixed-use redevelopment of a historic meat packing building that was constructed in the early 1900s. The project is located at the corner of 14th Street and Howell Mill Road and includes 100 residential units, 65,000 square feet of office space, and 95,000 square feet of retail. TSW was responsible for project sitework, which included grading and new utilities, stormwater detention, vehicular and pedestrian circulation, and landscaping. The development won the 2010 Development of Excellence Award from the Atlanta Regional Commission.
Both projects were recognized for their excellence in design, sustainability, and innovation. The ULI Atlanta Chapter’s Excellence in Development awards recognize developments that create vibrant and livable communities, demonstrate best practices in design and construction, and contribute to the economic and social vitality of the region.
TSW’s Landscape Architecture Studio was instrumental in the success of both Greystone and White Provision. The team’s expertise in landscape design and construction documentation helped to create exceptional developments that are sustainable, innovative, and contribute to the vitality of their communities.
