What’s your TSWhy?
For Nick, it started during his time in grad school at Georgia Tech. TSW left a great first impression among other planning firms in the area. Following grad school, he worked at the Georgia Conservancy, where he had an opportunity to work alongside TSW and Atlanta Housing on the Bowen Homes Choice Neighborhood Transformation Plan. He jumped at the opportunity, noting it was a chance to make a real difference in northwest Atlanta through community-supported redevelopment. Although he only played a small role in the Bowen project, he wanted an even greater part in the action, so a couple years later, he joined the TSW team.
Nick thrives in the work environment at TSW, noting that every day offers new opportunities to learn and make a lasting impact. Whether it’s a day filled with public engagement – from stakeholder interviews to creative workshops styled after TED Talks or pop-up cafes – or detailed technical work, Nick is ready to bring his best.
Just as Nick brings a breadth of knowledge and skill to the table, he knows that his colleagues do, too. Everyone on the team is approachable and ready to collaborate, offering opportunities to learn and making the work even stronger.
Most importantly, though, Nick believes in the impact his work at TSW has, noting:
“It feels like there are hundreds of opportunities to see the fruits of my colleagues’ labor out in the field. Everywhere I turn, I come across another project TSW has had a hand in, even in my own neighborhood. That reinforces the fact that my work matters.”
