TSW Spearheads Redevelopment in Columbus, GA

TSW has successfully moved forward with several projects in Columbus, GA.

Wynnton Road Community Workshop December 2007

175 neighbors, property and business owners, elected officials and other MidTown stakeholders turned out December 11, 2007, to participate in the community forum and workshop regarding our vision for the Wynnton Road Corridor. Tunnell-Spangler-Walsh met with six selected property owners during the morning session. All invited property owners or their representatives chose to participate in the visioning process. The crowd was also introduced to the details of the Wynnton Road Corridor streetscape plan. For further details, see article on the MidTown web site.

Wynnton/Macon Road Corridor Revitalization

This project implements the first phase of the key recommendations of the MidTown Project master plan (by TSW) by improving pedestrian, vehicular, and transit facilities along Wynnton Road. In December 2007, the Georgia Department of Transportation announced that Columbus would receive a $1 million grant (PDF download), including matching funds, for implementation of Phase I.
