TSW Retreat
We recently had our annual retreat with a year-in-review session and drafting of goals for the upcoming year. After the work stuff was behind us, all of the TSW staff members set out on the Atlanta BeltLine on a beautiful, fall Friday.
Kevin Burke, with Atlanta BeltLine, Inc., served as our tour guide along the portion of the BeltLine from Inman Park Village to Historic Fourth Ward Park, giving details about construction materials, proposed surrounding connections, and storm water management for the park.
From there, we met up with Kristen Morris with Jamestown for a tour of Ponce City Market, formerly known as City Hall East. After putting on our hard hats, Kristen walked us through the massive building and explained the vision and phasing for the renovation. We even got to go on the roof and in the tower.
Our last stop along the BeltLine was Piedmont Park North Woods expansion where Chris Nelson with the Piedmont Park Conservancy led us through the community gardens area, expanded dog park, conservation areas, and the new Legacy Fountain. It was exciting to see the work we had done on the North Woods Master Plan come to life.
A great retreat and a big thanks to all of our tour guides!
