Renaissance on Lindbergh Turns the Vision into Reality

TSW has been hired by the Kaplan Companies to create a master plan and architectural designs for the Renaissance on Lindbergh project in Atlanta. This development will consist of traditional townhomes, condominiums, and apartments spread over three blocks located in close proximity to the Lindbergh Center MARTA rail station.

The design of Renaissance on Lindbergh emphasizes pedestrian-friendly features, such as street-facing buildings and wide sidewalks, to encourage walking and biking. The project incorporates a variety of housing types to create a diverse and mixed-use urban environment. By transforming a formerly disconnected and auto-oriented area into a walkable and cohesive neighborhood, Renaissance on Lindbergh represents a significant step towards creating a more sustainable and livable urban environment in Atlanta.

The Renaissance on Lindbergh project was developed following a community-based master plan and code created by TSW’s Alycen Whiddon and Caleb Racicot while they were working for the City of Atlanta. This approach ensured that the needs and desires of the community were taken into account in the design process, leading to a development that meets the needs of both residents and visitors.

The proximity of Renaissance on Lindbergh to the MARTA rail station is a significant feature, as it provides easy access to public transportation and reduces reliance on automobiles. By prioritizing walkability and public transit, Renaissance on Lindbergh also supports Atlanta’s efforts to become a more sustainable and environmentally friendly city.

Overall, the Renaissance on Lindbergh project represents an exciting development for Atlanta, as it exemplifies the principles of mixed-use and walkable urban design. By incorporating a variety of housing types and promoting pedestrian-friendly features, this project will help to create a more livable and sustainable urban environment for residents and visitors alike.
