Description:

TSW worked with Stone Mountain Community Improvement District (CID) to come up with several  design options for the Royal Atlanta Sign at the Royal Atlanta Business Park entrance. The goal was to create an entrance that would be visually appealing, welcoming, and reflective of the surrounding community while keeping with a simple steel, granite and brick motif.

To achieve this goal, TSW collaborated with a lighting engineer and signage fabricator to provide construction documents on the final chosen design to be bid by a contractor. The design options presented ranged from modern to traditional in style and took into consideration the aesthetic preferences and values of the community. The final design chosen was a perfect blend of modern and traditional elements that reflected the community’s identity and vision for the entrance of the business park.

The design process included an in-depth analysis of the site, its context, and the surrounding community. The team at TSW took into consideration the existing landforms, natural features, and the existing built environment. They also considered the pedestrian and vehicular circulation patterns, accessibility, and safety.

The final design for the entrance of the Royal Atlanta Business Park was a modern steel and glass structure with a granite base and brick accents. The entrance was designed to be welcoming, with a spacious and open feeling that was enhanced by the use of lighting and landscaping. The design also incorporated elements such as a large sign that was visible from the main road, and a landscaped median that provided a sense of arrival to the business park.
