Description:
TSW was hired to design the Riverwalk Upland Trail, a unique and challenging trail experience that would link the Cumberland Riverfront to Valley Brook Park and provide a connection to the City’s downtown. The Riverwalk Upland Trail would traverse the steep slopes of the downtown district of the City of Clarksville, which sits atop a pronounced hill overlooking the Cumberland River. The design of the trail, which was developed by TSW, was thoughtfully crafted to ensure that it is accessible to all, by including multiple switchbacks, integrating ramps and stair sections. This combination of design elements not only provides accessibility for all users but also minimizes construction costs.
The Riverwalk Upland Trail is not just a trail but an opportunity for the City of Clarksville to provide its citizens and visitors with a unique and challenging trail experience that connects the Cumberland Riverfront to Valley Brook Park and provides a connection to the city’s downtown. The trail will not only provide an accessible trail experience for all but also offer a chance to explore the stunning natural beauty of the area. The trail will be designed to be a destination in itself, providing visitors with an opportunity to experience the outdoors and enjoy the natural setting of the area, while also connecting them to the city’s downtown.
The Riverwalk Upland Trail will be a valuable addition to the City of Clarksville, connecting the Cumberland Riverfront to Valley Brook Park and providing a connection to the city’s downtown. It will be an accessible trail experience for all, providing an opportunity for citizens and visitors to explore the stunning natural beauty of the area and enjoy the outdoors. The Riverwalk Upland Trail is not just a trail but an investment in the City’s future, one that will provide benefits for years to come.
