GOLF CLUB AT LITCHFIELD RESERVE |
Pawleys Island, South Carolina
The Reserve is a magnificent private clubhouse located in the Carolinas, designed for Greg Norman’s first golf course. With a total area of 17,000 sq. ft., the clubhouse was originally a 4,000 sq. ft. Golf House facility that has now been expanded into a luxurious members-only club, offering a grand foyer, library, formal dining, locker areas, and card rooms. The design of the clubhouse was created with a low-country style in mind, given its coastal South Carolina setting. This casual, relaxed atmosphere is achieved through the use of multiple building volumes that create a rambling “country inn” appearance, complete with a wood-mold red brick exterior, white clapboard siding, and a standing seam metal roof. The tall, traditional windows further enhance the informal look and provide ample natural light, allowing members to enjoy stunning views of the surrounding golf course and its breathtaking surroundings. The design team, led by Jerry Spangler, has done an outstanding job in capturing the essence of the South Carolina coast, with its relaxed atmosphere and serene beauty. The use of materials that complement the natural surroundings, such as the standing seam metal roof, helps to blend the clubhouse into the landscape, making it a seamless addition to the golf course. The Reserve is an exclusive club, reserved only for members, and it is a place where they can enjoy the finest amenities and services. Whether it’s a round of golf, a meal in the formal dining room, or simply a quiet afternoon spent in the library, members will find everything they need to make their stay at The Reserve an unforgettable experience. The clubhouse provides a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, making it the perfect place to relax, unwind, and recharge. Whether you are a seasoned golfer or simply looking for a place to enjoy the peace and beauty of the Carolinas, The Reserve is the perfect destination.
